The Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Environmental Impact Statement is no longer accepting submissions.
The Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project has received planning approval from the NSW Government and Commonwealth Government approval for the project between St Marys and north of Western Sydney International with major construction set to start soon.
Commonwealth Government approvals for Sydney Metro’s rail development work within the boundary of Western Sydney International Airport are expected in the coming months.
Sydney Metro is seeking approval from the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Commonwealth Minister for the Environment and Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development for the construction and operation of Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport. This is because the project is subject to three separate statutory schemes that govern the planning and assessment process for the project:
